Drugs Task Force needed in Dundalk – Adams

DSC_3254_6510Louth TD Gerry Adams has said that additional resources must be allocated the the Gardaí in Dundalk to properly address the sale and supply of drugs in the town.

Gerry Adams said;

“Gardaí raided a number of properties in Dundalk during the week in connection with criminal drugs gangs

“I welcome the fact that the local Gardaí are proactive on this issue and I acknowledge their efforts.

“However local communities in Dundalk are concerned that that one off operations have limited effect.

“There must be a multi agency approach and a special anti drugs task force must be established in Dundalk.

“I will be raising this matter with the Justice Minister and the Gardaí locally to ensure that this task force is established and that every effort is made to stop the drugs gangs.”
